sleeping through the night

Set loose the birds from the
net of nighttime,  let their feathers
fall where they may,

Observe the butterfly balancing
on the palm of your hand,
However tempted take nothing
with you,

Don’t fret
even if the moon fills
your sky,

Remember
the stars are yours
alone yet simmer with
or without you.
